Step into the realm of exquisite elegance with the YUZUKI dress by HORROR VACUI, crafted from 100% silk twill, making it the epitome of sophistication for the most elegant of occasions.

At the heart of YUZUKI's allure are two signature HORROR VACUI design elements that celebrate our commitment to exceptional artisanship: the hand-smocked honeycomb and hand-pleated froschgoscherl detailing. Each element is meticulously crafted by our own artisans in-house, employing traditional techniques that imbue the dress with a deep sense of heritage and unmatched quality.

The YUZUKI dress is designed with 3/4 length puff sleeves and a tailored waist, creating a silhouette that is both timeless and distinctly modern. The addition of a wide tie belt offers versatility in styling, allowing for a personalized fit that accentuates the natural elegance of the wearer.

This dress is a true testament to HORROR VACUI’s unparalleled craftsmanship, embodying the spirit of modern luxury while honoring the rich tradition of textile artistry. The YUZUKI dress invites you to celebrate the art of dressing, making every occasion a moment to cherish.

Enter the realm of sartorial mastery with our honeycomb smocking technique—a needle-and-thread ballet that sculpts diamond-shaped structures. The needle gracefully weaves through the first dot, repeats its rhythm with the second, orchestrates their union, and then elegantly stitches over this harmonious duo. Honeycomb smocking endows the garment with elasticity while concurrently fostering warmth and insulation within the diminutive air pockets it forms.

Our skilled artisans embroider the honeycomb technique completely by hand, ensuring the meticulous craftsmanship that defines our garments.

Rooted in German embroidery traditions since the 16th century, honeycomb smocking is the oldest of its kind. We take pride in preserving this artisanal heritage, infusing each garment with a touch of history and sophistication.

The Froschgoscherl, originally adorning the bodice of a Dirndl—an emblem of traditional Bavarian attire dating back to the 19th century—stands as a pinnacle of artisanal finesse. Within our atelier, this meticulously handcrafted technique emerges as the pièce de résistance, embodying the epitome of ornate artistry.

The Froschgoscherl unfolds as a box-pleated garland trim meticulously crafted by the skilled hands within our atelier. This intricate process commences with the creation of a ribbon from the fabric of the garment. Each box pleat, a testament to precision, is meticulously folded from the ribbon and delicately pressed into its rightful place, transforming the material into a cascading symphony of texture and form.

As the process continues, the opposite midpoints between the leading edges of the pleats are delicately lifted with needle and thread and connected with a knot. This process is repeated with every pleat, invoking a dance of meticulous stitching. This handcrafted technique, reminiscent of the meticulous practices of Alpine costume, elevates the Froschgoscherl beyond a mere adornment—it becomes an ethereal manifestation of luxurious craftsmanship, a delicate ode to the art of creation.
